Getting Started

Get a Google Account

As seen here, Google has a version of just about every Web 2.0 application mentioned above. A word of advice: If you already have a Google or Gmail account, make a separate one for your library activities. It will make things simpler in the long run.

Try a new browser

Given Web 2.0's reliance on in-browser actions, it makes sense to try a browser developed for this purpose. The following also have "addons" that allow you to customize your browser to your needs.

Browsers

Firefox
Flock
Chrome

Addons and Toolbars

LibX
Offshoot Systems LLC
iLibrarians Firefox Addons for Librarians part 1 part 2

Do a self-paced Learning 2.0 Program

CS-SIS Web 2.0 Challenge

Original Learning 2.0 - contains links to other programs that are modeled after it.
Blue 2.0 - the Learning 2.0 program that I helped organize at UK Libraries

You can also do a google search for "learning 2.0" or "23 things library" and that will return several more similar programs.
